So i just came back from an epic 3 day journey. There was alot that happened, so ill just sum it up and say the important stuff.
Day1-25th December:
So its christmas and our family is going to join a tourist group for 2 days to tour blue mountains, check out the 3 sisters etc etc
So we wake up at 6:30-ish and we get to chatswood to board the bus at 7:50. We find ourselves drifting off to sleep, then after a "TRADITIONAL Japanese bathhouse". Well it isnt traditional and it was all quite shit. Anyways, we then find ourselves at a place called ScenicLand, where you could get on a monorail sorta thing and it would go past the three Sisters, which is apparently a world heritage site. So yeh. But it started raining dogs and cats (is that the saying?). But yeah we didnt bother with it and soon we were off to a canton restaurant which was by the way very shit, and then to the hotel rooms. So yeah, then from 7:00 to 12am, we played Big 2 LOL.
But generally, ive forgotten the order, since its been quite a while, but yeah, we went to:
- Three Sisters.
Jap Bath House.
Eat
Big 2
Sleep
Now the tour hadnt been real good, but its about to get epik. Now, we wake up and have a hotel brekkie then we're off. Its very foggy and quite cold and its raining, but anyway... We go to a place called Echo Place, where your supposed to be able to see the blue mountains, but its way too foggy so yeah, it was gay... Soon after, we go to a place thats called Botanic Gardens and its literally on an angle on the mountain so it was a great view and there was so much flowers....
Then we go to a peach picking place. Now it was sooo fun here. You could literally take peaches from the tree and chuck them around. Soon you could see peaches flying everywhere from lil kids, but yea, in the end, we picked a bag-full. Then the best activity was to come. Something called Aqua Golf. LOL. Its a driving range but you hit it into water and theres targets for you to hit. If you hit it, you get coupons for extra buckets etc. But whats even better to hit is the guy whos in a boat thing vacuuming the balls up from the water. Everyone in the tour decided to aim at the guy and he got barraged by at least 30 golf balls. XD. The bad news was he was in a cage that prevented him from getting hit. Then another good target came in sight. A living duck. LOL. All these guys, including me, aimed for the duck and im shit at golf so i didnt hit it, but i think someone did. So it quickly flew off and the tour group decided to get back.
Again forgetting the order, we did/went to:
- Echo Point
Botanic Gardens
Peach Picking
Aqua Golf
All in all, the Christmas and Boxing Day vacation was a 7/10.
Quite decent, the worst thing that happened was it rained, or it woulda been an 8/10 or more. ):
3rd day-27th December:
It was prepared that we would go off to a cherry picking place for a day, but the group was delayed to the 28th, as there was a group going 27th then 28th, but they chucked the groups together, so yeah, i stayed home and relaxed on the 27th (so if you saw me on msn and was like wtf he said he was going on a 3 day holiday, not 2, thats why).
4th and final day-28th December:
Okay, this blog entry is getting tons long so ill make this short. We woke up and got the Chinatown to get on at 7:30. After like a 4 hour trip, even past blue mountains, past multiple stops and a visit to Mount Panorama where they hold car racing events, we end up in a place called Orange. The cherries were alright, although mostly picked already because we were apparently the last bus expected to come in the year. Me and my awesome dad decided finding the smallest and ugliest cherries would be more fun so we set off doing that and it was really hilarious. Then we went to pay for our bag of cherries and me and my sister saw some cows in the field pissing. LOL. Quite disturbing.
Yeah. But overall, the trip was a 6/10. Alright, but massive areas of improvement, as the tour guide was shit and just smoked all day and the music played on the bus was crap and i had to listen to it cause i forgot to charge my iPod and it ran out of batteries after we got to the cherries.
So that was my christmas this year. How was yours? (:
Regardless, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
